The Band Toto Asia

Toto expanded its production facilities abroad, and doing business in France and Germany, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. The company considered North America as a growth market for Washlet bidets and toilets, as opposed to its "base" markets of Japan and China.

Dhaniram Toto was documenting Toto words to ensure the next generation could comprehend them. However, many words were being replaced by foreign ones, such as dui from Bengali for verandah.

Origins

The company was founded in 1917 and its early years were a mirror of Japan's economic development. In the first half of its existence, the company produced products to meet the demand for new, modern urban housing. To do this, it employed the first tunnel kiln in the nation to produce ceramics in continuous flow. It also pioneered automation to allow production control, allowing greater efficiency and consistency.

In the late 1980s, the company began expanding overseas in order to profit from sales and new markets. The company founded the Cera Trading Company to import and market other products of other manufacturers to complement its own line of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. This strategy increased sales and increased the firm's market share.

In the 1990s Toto began to concentrate on research and development for water-related appliances. It also improved its distribution system to better meet the needs of customers and boost profits. The company adopted a just-in-time approach to supply chain management, and it used the same method for its sales process. This resulted in a greater level of customer satisfaction.

Toto continues to invent toilet technology. The latest toilet from the company features an environmentally friendly, powerful tornado flush. Toto also makes use of recycled water in its manufacturing process and has a green procurement policy. Apart from toilets, Toto manufactures faucets and bathtubs, as well as hand dryers that are more energy efficient than typical models.

The first Toto museum opened in the year 2015. It hosts exhibits on Toto's most famous products and their evolution, the group companies (all of which are made from ceramics) as well as the history of plumbing and even bath units. In a separate gallery you will find Toto products sold all over. The museum houses bathrooms with a WASHLET and other toilet innovations.

Before the formation of Toto members of the group did sessions for a variety of musicians. Boz Scaggs album Silk Degrees featured keyboardist David Paich, guitarists Mike Porcaro & Steve Lukather as well as drummers Jeff Porcaro & Steve Lukather. They also appeared on records by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.

Discography

You might expect a band with a name such as Asia to be a prog rock group, but it is actually a fairly straight forward rock band. The band was initially four-piece, and released two albums that were self-titled in 1979 and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. The group has a wide musical background, but their greatest success came in 1982 with Toto IV.

The album was a major blockbuster, but not without its own set of issues. Record companies placed the band on the place with the directive "give us an album that's a smash or we'll sack you" and the pressure was on to give it. Luckily for  안전놀이터 추천  delivered and they did it with the assistance of the smash single "Africa."

Toto's musical mastery owes a lot to their previous experience in the music industry, as the band members had been session musicians for artists like Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts prior the group. Their sonic signature has since become the standard for '80s pop, influencing many modern artists.

The album starts out hard with songs like Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to create great AOR tunes that slowly get into your head. But the album also contains some more mellow, jazzy tracks like The Little Things and Chinatown. The album concludes with Great Expectations, a song that combines folk with distorted AOR and could sound like a complete flop, but works wonderfully well.

After Toto IV, the band's fortunes took a turn towards the negative. David Hungate left the band to focus on his solo career, and the band had a variety of drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the band in wake of drug charges and the group continued to perform as a trio with Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.

Despite the chaos, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation that was not as successful as IV. The band was able to release an album that was chart-topping, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. This album marked Toto's final lineup and the debut of Simon Phillips, a new singer.

Line-up

The band's third album, Turn Back, marked an reversion to the classic sextet style of previous albums.  안전놀이터 추천  was a more ferocious, consistent effort that had a harder edge than Hydra. The more experimental sound of Turn Back reflected the maturation in the group. The drummer Bobby Kimball's increasing ability to play was evident in the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. David Paich's keyboard work was as well more refined, more precise, and less derivative on previous efforts.

After touring to promote the album, the group recorded a live concert in Amsterdam which was released as a two-CD set called Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. The studio album came out just a few months later and the group embarked on an extensive world tour in support of it. During this time, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes replaced Paich and bassist David Hungate quit the group to spend time with his family.

In 1998, Paich and Lukather started looking through old tapes and demos for a new album featuring songs that had never been recorded before. It was completed as a double album titled Then And Now in 2001. It was the band's first album that did not contain one single track titled "A". The album also contained a previously unreleased track called "Kari-Anne".

By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth record, Old Is New was a commercial failure and vocalist Williams was suffering from laryngitis, which restricted his singing capabilities. Additionally, Hungate returned to Nashville and drummer Leland Sklar was replaced by Shem von Schroeck.

Downes and the other original members of Asia - Wetton, Palmer, and Howe--convened a meeting in England in the early part of 2006 to discuss the possibility of restructuring the band. The lineup, which was minus Howe (who was a member of Yes at the time) was eventually referred to as Toto XIV and toured extensively.

In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The group also had a guest appearance by singer Michael McDonald, and a backing singer named Mabvuto Carpenter.
